TikTok Resumed After an International Outage

After encountering technical issues and international outage earlier today, TikTok has resumed its normal operation. Many users reported that the well-known video-sharing website started having problems at around 8 AM PKT.

Users encountered difficulties accessing certain functions while the service was still partially operational.

The issue was verified by a number of social media platforms, including Reddit, Twitter, Bluesky, and the monitoring tool DownDetector. Users using mobile apps had difficulty reading comments or switching between accounts, however they were able to watch some videos.

Some people thought they had been blacklisted as a result of these problems.

The error message “An error occurred while processing your request” was displayed to users on TikTok’s website and help pages, along with a reference code.

Issues with authentication were also common throughout the outage.

Since then, the service has resumed its regular operations.

Regarding what was causing the disturbance and when it was resolved, TikTok did not provide a formal announcement.

During the downtime, the company’s service suppliers, such as Oracle and Akami, also had no information on their status pages.

According to the DownDetector, it appears that the other areas were more affected by the outage than Pakistan. More than 44,000 reports come from the US and only 100 came from Pakistan.

TikTok outage was both international and local.

Even though there are a lot more TikTok users in the US than in Pakistan, the disparity in reports is still significant enough to suggest inconsistent disruption.
