Indian Defense Ministry Hacked by Pakistani Hackers

A group of Pakistani hackers called “Pakistan Cyber Force” has claimed that they hacked the Indian Defense Ministry. The group has taken credit for a string of cyberattacks against the Indian defense ministry over the last two days, marking a significant rise in cyberwarfare.

The group claims to have gained access to private information from several Indian defense websites, such as the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defense Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA) and the Military Engineering Services (MES).

According to reports, the hackers uploaded a list of names, allegedly belonging to Indian defense personnel, along with the caption, “Hacked.” Your sense of security is a myth. MES data is owned. They assert that they were able to access more than 10 GB of data from the MP-IDSA website, which may have compromised defense personnel’s login passwords and personal data.

Along with data breaches, the group is accused of vandalizing the official website of the Ministry of Defense’s Armored Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), a public sector enterprise. Images of the Al Khalid tank and the Pakistani flag were among the defacements.

Tensions between India and Pakistan have increased following the recent Pahalgam terror assault, which coincides with these cyberattacks. In order to prevent such infiltration, the Indian Army has acknowledged the cyber threats and said that continuous monitoring is in place.

Even though the Pakistan Cyber Force has claimed to have hacked the Indian Defense Ministry and claimed to have access to confidential data, the MP-IDSA has firmly denied these assertions and has maintained the security of its systems.
