Twitter has been cleaning the platform over the past several months. Due to which thousands of celebrities and users have experienced a reduction in the number of their followers on the social media firm that is now being referred to as the Twitter flush out. These locked accounts are also known as bots.

Earlier this week President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama have just experienced the downfall of followers list. According to reports, US President Donald Trump has lost about 400,000 of his 53.4 million followers in the Twitter Purge so far, while former US President Barack Obama lost more than 2 million of his 103.6 million followers. On Wednesday, Twitter’s legal, policy trust and safety lead, announced in a blog post that the company will be removing locked accounts from follower lists.

“Over the years, we’ve locked accounts when we detected sudden changes in account behavior,” Gadde wrote. “In these situations, we reach out to the owners of the accounts and unless they validate the account and reset their passwords, we keep them locked with no ability to log in. This week, we’ll be removing these locked accounts from follower counts across profiles globally. As a result, the number of followers displayed on many profiles may go down.”

Pakistani Celebrities and media persons also just lose hundreds of followers after the action. Some of them are Maryam Nawaz, Amir Khan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Hamza Ali Abbasi and many more. These cracked accounts were mainly of those people who started using Twitter but stopped using it for some reasons, it differs from bots or spam because they were started by real people while it is just uncertain if those people still have access over the account, due to changes in the account’s behavior. Because of the crackdown, people reported a huge downfall in the follower list.
