Pakistan’s First Burraq Drone Killed 3 terrorist in 1st Strike

Pakistan’s own made “Burraq Drone” killed three high profile terrorist in their hideout in its first strike in ongoing operation Zarb e Azb in Shawal Valley, North Waziristan.  

Burraq Drone is unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UAV) equipped with with laser guided “Barq” missile developed by National Engineering and Scientific Commission ( NESCOM ) along with close coordination of Pakistan Air Force. 

Primarily it was used by Pakistan Air Force but now is used by Pakistan Army for the first time in its operation in North Waziristan.

Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) have confirmed in their tweet about the first ever use of UAV which carries “Barq” missiles that killed 3 terrorists in a strike on their compound. 

Pakistan already have several types of unarmed surveillance drones that are being used in operation but Burraq and Shahpar are the two drones that have developed and made in Pakistan.

Trial were witnessed by Army Chief, General Raheel Sharif who said

It is a Great National Achievement and Momentous Occasion 

After successful use of these drones, Pakistan is now the 3rd country to use drone technology against terrorists activity. Pakistan had already requested many times from United States for giving them drone technology to use against terrorist but US refused to provide which to birth to development of Burraq Drones.

Pakistan Army had tested Burraq drones together with Burq missiles in March 2015 for the first time which gave accuracy to pinpoint. Both of these, UAV & Missiles according to Pakistan Army were developed indigenously.
